The R60 series capacitors from Kemet are radial leaded metalized polyester film capacitors (stacked technology). The radial leads of tinned wire are electrically welded to the contact metal layer on the ends of the capacitor winding. The capacitor is encapsulated in a self extinguishing solvent resistant plastic case with thermosetting resin material meeting the UL94 V-0 requirements. Typical applications include bypassing, blocking, coupling, decoupling and interference suppression in low voltage applications. It is not suitable for across the line application.
