The HFBR-1515BZ is a 10MBd Optical Transmitter for PROFIBUS applications. The transmitters are easily identified by the light grey coloured connector port. PROFIBUS is an open fieldbus standard defined for data rates ranging from 9.6kBd to 12MBd in selectable steps for wire and optical fibre. The ST® connector is the recommended optical port of the PROFIBUS optical fibre version but other connectors are allowed as well. It is comply fully with the technical guideline using plastic optical fibre up to 6MBd and has a guaranteed performance at data rates up to 10MBd.
